Traveller CF
ESAM Traveller CF is the flagship of our products segment of data acquisition systems and measuring instruments for computerized measurements of mechanical quantities like strain, displacement, force, pressure, torque, temperature, etc. The hardware architecture together with its specialized, dedicated ESAM-Software render it a state-of-the-art measuring system for static as well as highly dynamic data. It features analogue and digital inputs for a wide range of sensors, and its flexibility in system channel capacity as well as its ease of operation make it responding in a very comprehensive way to the sophisticated demands of modern digital measurement and data processing technology. This is why ESAM Traveller CF became the very heart of measurement equipments in many prominent industrial and academic R&D-organizations in Europe and beyond.
Simultaneous acquisition of channel data with adjustable sampling rates of 0.007 up to 100,000 Samples/s results in consistent, uninterrupted data with complete correlatability. Each channel has its own 10-bits-A/D-converter and the bipolar excitation voltage, adjustable in fine steps of 2.5 mV between 0 and 7 VDC, meets the requirements of the sensors in best possible ways.
Individual system units are housing 8 channels each and can be equipped with plug-in cards for inputs from strain gauges, strain gauge based transducers, displacement transducers, thermocouples and piezoresistive transducers as well as high-level signal sources. Systems can be configured in a modular way for capacities of up to 128 channels. Low-pass and anti-aliasing filters as well as high-precision shunt calibration circuitry care for excellent data accuracy and measurement security of the entire measuring chain. A special feature of the system is a built-in PCM-encoder for data transfer as serial data stream (up to 10 Mbit/s) for telemetric system applications.
For setup and control and data acquisition, the system can be connected to any computer via USB-2.0 interface which guarantees a real-time data acquisition with 4 MSamples/s from the entire system to the RAM or HDD of the computer, or – in off-line operation – to the Compact Flash-Card memory (up to 2 GB) contained in the system.
ESAM Traveller CF comes with the well known ESAM Software package which meets the requirements of system control, data processing and data presentation in an ideal way.
